Plant Care Instructions - Heartleaf Philodendron

HEARTLEAF PHILODENDRON

LIGHT:

She will tolerate low light for quite a long time but a well lit room, with no direct sunlight is best. She will let you know if she isn't getting the right amount of light. Too much will cause her leaves to go yellow and too little will result in long stems and small leaves. Let her hang from a high shelve or give her something to trail along.

WATER:

Water well and then allow the top 30% of the soil to dry out before watering again. Inserting your finger into the soil is a good way to check the moisture level. The soil should never be soggy or wet. Never let her base sit in water. Water less during the cooler months and fertilize in the warmer months to promote new growth.

Increase humidity during the summer months by misting.
